Amelia

enceinte-acoustique

Amelia is an acoustic speaker designed with a meticulous approach focused on musicality and an in-depth study of its acoustic integration within its environment. The 'Room Coupling' technology allows you to easily tune your Amelia to the acoustics of your listening room.

This 2-way system is equipped with an AMT (Air Motion Transformer) tweeter for high frequencies and a 20 cm ALNICO mid-woofer in a bass reflex configuration, driven by a 6dB/octave crossover filter. The AMT tweeter is based on an innovative concept invented by physicist Dr. Oskar Heil in the 1970s. This technology utilizes a pleated membrane to compress air laterally, allowing for more efficient, smooth, and dynamic sound reproduction compared to traditional dome tweeters.

The 20 cm ALNICO woofer features a NEXTEL-treated paper cone and an ALNICO magnet for a warm, natural sound with smooth mids and detailed highs. Its lightweight construction, rigidity, and magnetic stability ensure a dynamic and precise response.

The 6dB/octave crossover ensures smooth transitions between the speakers, enhanced sound coherence, and reduced distortion. Combined with a bass reflex design, it contributes to optimal bass frequency extension while minimizing distortion.

The filtering components include Duelund capacitors made from pure copper, based on Virtual Stack Foil technology, providing minimal losses and distortions. The Mundorf pure copper inductors ensure low distortion and interference to preserve the speakers' potential.

Finally, the cabinet features a 30 mm MDF-bitumen sandwich construction, which combines the rigidity of MDF with the vibration absorption properties of bitumen. This design helps reduce unwanted resonances, limit sound leakage, and provide faithful and precise sound reproduction.
